Thank You for Choosing My Night Light – Your Trusted Sleep Aid
I want to thank all of my wonderful customers for making My Night Light your sleep aid store of choice. Night lights are important to a lot of children and families at the moment as our little ones struggle with everything that is happening around them, and having a calm, safe haven at night is essential for their wellbeing and mental health.
My Night Light has been operating now for just over 10 and a half years. Some of my beautiful customers have been with me from the beginning, buying a new night light with the birth of each child or grandchild – I know who you are! Some of you are first time mums like I was, desperate for your child to get to sleep and stay asleep all night long and willing to try anything!
With the world looking very different to the way it did in 2009 when my beautiful baby boy was refusing to sleep, I thought I might take a moment of your time to tell you a little about my small company, apologies if you’ve heard this before!
My Night Light started out as a tiny online store, based in Brisbane, selling night lights and doing local markets and the Baby expo’s in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Why night lights?
When I realised how much having a dimmed light on through the night helped my son to sleep and the gratitude and relief I felt for getting some much needed sleep myself, I knew other parents would feel the same and I wanted to help. I chose theAloka Sleepy Lightinitially as it had a choice of light levels, colours, a timer and remote and I honestly couldn’t think of anything else you could possibly need in a baby’s light.
Doing the markets and baby shows enabled me to get to know my customers, (which I loved!) and receive that all important feedback to be able to adapt and grow my company to offer other products new parents might need.
Fast forward 10 years to 2019 and after expanding my range to include baby linen, soft toys and books, I decided to specialise and reduce my range to sleep aids that had the features that were scientifically proven to help children sleep. This was also the year I finally plucked up the courage to pursue my dream of designing my own sleep aid, based on ALL the feedback I’d received during the 10 years I’d been in retail and theDuski Dream Guardianwas born.
My Night Light now offers night lights with thered colour optionwhich is proven to help people sleep better, night lights that haveBluetooth speakersso that along with the red light, you also have the option to stream calming sounds, white noise and mediation tracks and theMiffy and Friendsrange of lights, because I know that some of you absolutely LOVE them!
The My Night Light team has always been me, with a handful of the most amazing, loyal friends and incredible businesswomen, helping me out along the way. So while we are all struggling with different things at the moment and finances for a lot of you are tight, I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, for continuing to support my small business and for helping to keep my dream alive.
